Stay in touch!

Achieving your MBA is a once in a lifetime experience. Those long hours of grueling work, spirited discussions and intense collaborations forge close bonds among AU MBA graduates.

Keep that sense of camaraderie alive by becoming part of our AU MBA student and alumni community.

Once you have logged-in and created your profile within the AU MBA Student and Alumni site you can:

  • View and register for upcoming events.
  • Read about your fellow alumni and happenings
    at the Faculty of Business on our brand new news and events website.
  • Look up your fellow alumni and students within the Online Directory. You can search the directory by first or last name, cohort, grad year, etc. It's a great way to stay connected with classmates.
  • Post MBA level careers and listen to career related podcasts. You can even load your resume to your individual profile.
  • Keep others up to date on new positions, volunteer roles, and additions to your family.
  • Join our Linked In group.
  • If you run a consulting business or are in the market for management consulting services, check out the Alumni Consultants Directory.
  • Upload photos, write or follow a blog, and join virtual communities.

The key to gaining the most benefit from this site is logging in and creating your profile.

All AU MBA students and alumni should log-in to access all areas of the AU MBA student and alumni communty. First time visitors select "first time login" from the bottom of the left navigation bar. Once you have created a profile, future visits will require you to log-in using your first and last name.

Initially, all passwords have been set to student ID numbers. You can change that password if you would like as part of creating your student or alumni profile. If you require any assistance or can't remember your student ID number, please email office@mba.athabascau.ca and we'll be happy to assist.

Thank you for keeping us up to date by updating your profile with any changes in your career or family. For records to remain current with Athabasca University, address changes must also be made in myAU.

David Benoit, MBA ’08 featured in the Nova Scotia Business Journal

David Benoit, MBA ’08 was featured in the March 2012 Nova Scotia Business Journal article “MBA: Explore your potential – get ahead in business”. David completed his MBA while serving as a commander with the Department of National Defence. He is now the director of Maritime Fleet Management 2 with the DND.

AU's online Executive MBA featured in the Financial Times

AU’s online Executive MBA appears on a Financial Times list of online programs offered by “48 of the top business schools” from around the world.

The same FT issue features AU MBA student Brigida Scholten, who discusses the trials of balancing a demanding job and graduate studies.

“Much of what I have learnt in the programme transcends business concepts. Registrations are now open for Summer 2012 electives, and spots are filling up quickly in the international elective “Doing Business in Germany.”

Don't forget!  All AU MBA alumni are welcome to return any time to take a core course, an online elective, an elective in residence or a Leadership and Management Development course.


Alumni receive a 20% tuition reduction on all but international residential electives.

Congratulations Class of 2012
The 2012 Convocation ceremony for the Faculty of Business graduands was held on June 9th, a beautiful sunny Saturday. Joined by their family and friends, 77 MBA grads and 31 undergrads boarded the buses to Athabasca for the culmination of their years of study and the presentation of their parchments. Grads came from across Canada and around the world to celebrate, including last month’s alumna profile, Claudia Heigl, who returned to Canada from Austria to accept her BComm degree. MBA grad Terry Kirkey and his wife Kathy travelled from Geneva, Switzerland, and fellow MBA grad Franz Peters joined us from Irving, Texas.
